Barrhead Orioles Defeat Legal Primeaus On Multiple Hit Performance By Lee Worobec

Lee Worobec collected three hits in three at bats, as Barrhead Orioles defeated Legal Primeaus 5-4 on Wednesday at Barrhead Sportsgrounds. Worobec tripled in the fifth inning, singled in the first inning, and doubled in the third inning.

A walk by Cole Rivard put Legal Primeaus on the board in the top of the first.

Worobec singled down the left field line, which helped Barrhead Orioles tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

An error gave Legal Primeaus the lead, 2-1, in the top of the third.

Barrhead Orioles took the lead, 5-3, in the bottom of the fifth thanks to triples by Kayden Rentz, Worobec, and Johnney Klein.

Hunter Budgen earned the win for Barrhead Orioles. The starter allowed nine hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out three and walking two. Eric Pankiw took the loss for Legal Primeaus. The hurler went six innings, allowing five runs on nine hits, striking out four and walking none. Worobec appeared in relief for Barrhead Orioles.

Barrhead Orioles accumulated nine hits in the game. Branden Meier and Rentz each collected multiple hits for Barrhead Orioles.

Legal Primeaus tallied 12 hits in the game. Jake Herd went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Legal Primeaus in hits. Rivard and Tanner Sterling each drove in one run for Legal Primeaus. Jackson Berube and Addison Michaluk each collected multiple hits for Legal Primeaus. Herd stole two bases. Legal Primeaus stole four bases in the game.

Barrhead Orioles welcome Parkland Twins on Wednesday for their next game.
